Recap: The Head, Hand, and Heart of Teaching
Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 10 a.m.-1:15 p.m.
Join us for a collaborative, audience-led (un)conference where faculty will co-create and facilitate sessions to enhance student engagement in 2025 and beyond. Together, we will explore and share best practices around three key questions:
- Head: How can we communicate the value of critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity to students?
- Hand: How have emerging instructional practices and technology helped or hindered students’ development of durable skills?
- Heart: What is your biggest challenge in connecting with students?
Our goal is to foster an environment of creative collaboration. During the (un)conference, faculty will be encouraged to propose and lead discussions that address the key questions. At lunch, participants will also be given an opportunity to share a poster that they have created illustrating a teaching best practice.
The (un)conference will be held on Saturday, March 8 from 10 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. in a hybrid format. When registering, choose your preferred modality: On-campus at the DAC Auditorium in New Castle, or online via Zoom.
** This item meets and fulfills the requirement for all faculty to attend at least one professional development activity per academic year.
